The most difficult thing to master is how to make your foundation just right and lovely. Applying too much of foundation makes you look like you’re wearing a mask.
Here are six tips to guide you below:
Testing And Buying It in Poor Lighting
To find the best match, swatch new shades along the lower edge of your face, grab a mirror and find a place that will be seen clearly to see which one disappears into your skin.
Skipping Important Areas
To get the most natural looking coverage, always, blend along the perimeters of your face so you don’t end up with those telltale lines.
Not Changing With The Seasons
Your skin does all sorts of things that are not depending on the weather. The creamy stick you used during winter will be too heavy during summer and you’re probably a shade or two darker by that time. Invest in two formulas and adjust for the different times of the year.
Using The Wrong Formula
It all depends on the kind of skin you have for dry skin, a liquid foundation is your best bet as creamier formulas and powders makes you look even drier. And for the oily skin, you might be tempted to reach for that powder, you had better used a water based Foundation or a gel instead to provide a finishing without making your skin look dull or flat.
Using Dirty Tools
Dirty brushes and sponges can cause think, streaks and splotches. You’re also likely spreading bacteria and germs all over your face, so best to keep things clean.
And Using Those Tools Correctly
When using a makeup sponge, make sure you use a brush and wet it first. Then, squeeze out any excess water and lightly tap the foundation into your skin.
