JTF-soldiersSoldiers loaded on trucks, led by brigade commander, Rumuokoro Army Barracks, were said to stormed the palace of Eze V.C. Okor, the paramount ruler of Emohua Kingdom, in Rivers state. The unnamed army commander, according to Niger Delta Voice, was miffed about the killing last week of a soldier and a police officer, who unsuspectingly entered into an ambush. Their corpses were found on the Emohua-Kalabari Road, the report said. At the palace, the commander allegedly warned the monarch to either produce the killers or risk their wrath after investigations are concluded. The military’s anger has sparked fear in the minds of indigenes, who are reported to be fleeing the town.

The kingdom’s traditional institution said it elected to send three emissaries to the barracks to pacify the commander. They are also bothered why the commander chose to accuse Emohua, among the four communities in the area, for the murder.
