Tottenham Hotspur have announced that striker Harry Kane will be out of action till March after injuring his ligaments in his left ankle.
Spurs confirmed Kane’s injury on their verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Kane sustained the injury towards the end of Sunday’s game against Manchester United which Spurs lost 1-0.
“Following preliminary assessments, we can confirm that Harry Kane has damaged ligaments in his left ankle, sustained during Sunday’s match.
“He will continue to be monitored by our medical staff as he commences rehabilitation and is expected to return to training in early March,” the club wrote.
The striker, who has scored 14 league goals, will now miss Spurs’ semi-final second leg Carabao Cup game against Chelsea, league games against Arsenal and Chelsea and also the Champions League round of 16 clash with Dortmund.
