Tottenham Hotspur are making moves to hijack the potential transfer of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, to the Italian side, Napoli, a report has revealed.
Spurs representatives are due to meet with Osimhen and his advisers on Wednesday, Tribal Football quoted renowned sports journalist, Manu Lonjon of Eurosport.
The North London club are making their move despite the fact Naopli hierarchy, led by President Aurelio del Laurentiis, held talks with the striker for 48 hours in Naples last week.
The report said Osimhen is keen to hear from Spurs before making a final decision – which could be made public at the end of this week.
If the Nigerian international moves to Spurs, he would meet his former Lille coach Joao Sacramento, who is now Jose Mourinho’s assistant manager at the North London club.
Osimhen helped Lille finish fourth in the French Ligue 1 this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and won the French league’s Player of the Month for September 2019.
