Belgian club, Standard Liege have announced the signing of out-of-favour Manchester United keeper, Victor Valdes on loan. The Spanish stopper has had to endure the most frustrating run of his career under Louis Van Gaal. His deal with the Red Devils ends in the summer and the 34-year-old has tweeted a goodbye message to the club after just two appearances in over one year at Old Trafford.
“Thank you all for your support during these months of hard work for me.
“I will never forget!”, he tweeted.
The former Barcelona star joined United last January but was not allocated a squad number this season following a row with Van Gaal who accused him of indiscipline in refusing too play for the reserves.
