Uche Mefor, estranged Deputy-Leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Friday lashed out at Benjamin Madubugwu, a top ally of Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader.
Newsbreak reports that on Wednesday, Madubugwu relayed Kanu’s order directing the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ terrorising the South-East region to “stop now”, or “face Biafra judgment in the future”.
Reacting via his verified Facebook page, Mefor, a critic of IPOB and Kanu, insisted that the pro-Biafra group is responsible for the violence being witnessed in Nigeria’s restive southeast where separatist tensions have been on the rise.
He wrote: “Benjamin Madubugwu, stop the deceit and the pretence. You and your criminal gangs have assaulted the conscience of humanity.
“Imagine how these killers have continued to desecrate and defile the sanctity of human life and more gruesomely, that of their own people.
“Only a coward spills the blood of unarmed, vulnerable, innocent civilians. They kill with one hand and deny with the other. The conscience is roundly dead. The rot is comprehensive, the moral decadence is total. Subterfuge is an art. They mastered it. But no matter how long, these atrocities, these abomination committed by all of you directly or indirectly against vulnerable, unarmed Igbo Biafran civilians will find all of you out.
“The spirit of the land shall continue to pursue all of you. The gods are not afteral stupid as you thought. The forces of heaven and earth shall ceaselessly pursue all you perpetrators of these atrocious crimes against humanity committed in broad daylight but shamelessly crying more than your victims and vigorously and hypocritically labouring so hard to deny your culpability with ferocious intensity.”
