A former Kaduna senator, Shehu Sani, on Monday, called on university students across the country to emulate their colleagues at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) by kicking against any increase in tuition fees.

Speaking via his X handle, Sani commended Unilag students for standing against the hike.

He described their actions as commendable.

“Unilag students protest against the hike in school fees is commendable; Students from other higher institutions across the country facing same situation should emulate them,” Mr Sani wrote.

His comments came as authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, increased tuition fees.
