The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Liberia in an international friendly match next week in Monrovia, after today’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, according to a report on Television Continental, TVC.
The Eagles were originally scheduled to play against Saudi Arabia, but the fixtures was cancelled due to concerns about logistics.
Nigeria is just emerging from a turbulent period in its football, after it recently escaped a ban from the world football governing body, FIFA, following the leadership tussle that rocked the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF.
The team will hope to revive its of qualifying for next year’s AFCON in Cameroon after recording a shock 0-2 home defeat in Uyo to South Africa in 2017 with a victory against Seychelles’ Pirates in Victoria.
The Super Eagles failed to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament in 2015 and 2017.
