The 25-year-old suspect was said to have broken into the couple’s house in Mercy Estate, Baruwa area of Ipaja, Lagos State.
The man, Idris Olumo, and his unnamed wife, caught the suspect in their living room at about 4.am after having sex.

According to the police, Ebube, a native of Abia State, who resides at Alaba area of Ojo Local Government, said he gained entrance into the couple’s apartment through the window, with the mission to steal their valuables.
He, however, anticipated that Idris and his wife would sleep off after their sexual intercourse, so he could fulfill his mission.
But luck ran out on him, when Idris rushed to the living room, where he caught the suspect.

Ebube was later handed over to the Ipaja Police Division, and has been arraigned before an Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court on two- count charge of burglary and stealing.
It was reported that the suspect pleaded “not guilty”, and the police prosecutor, Kenneth Asibor, has urged the court to set a date for hearing.
He said the police would prove that the suspect is guilty of the charges.

T.O Shomade, the Magistrate, granted the suspect bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the matter to November 13.
