A suspected traffic robber, Isah Ismaila, 20, has been arraigned before an Ebute-Metta Court on Thursday for alleged theft.
He was said to have used an object to damage the window of an Honda Accord car with Reg. No. EKY 520 BF, and stole an iPhone 6 valued at N150,000 belonging to one Opeyemi Kola Ogunladi.
The defendant was said to have attacked the complainant while she was in traffic along with two other accomplices who are on the run.
Police prosecutor, C. Nwadione, told the court that the accused committed the offence on August 10, 2018 on Alaka Bridge , Surulere area of Lagos.
He said the offence contravened and is punishable under Sections 413, 348 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The defendant who is suffering a fractured leg pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge preferred against him.
Presiding magistrate, A.O. Adedayo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, adding that their addresses must be verified.
She ordered the admission of Ismaila at the hospital under police supervision, pending the perfection of the bail.
The case was adjourned till October 16, 2018.
