Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto State, has been announced as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Mohammad Bello, Special Adviser to the Sokoto State Governor on Media, on Monday.

Governor Tambuwal will replace Seriake Dickson, outgoing Bayelsa State Governor, whose tenure will elapse on February 3, 2020.
Governor Dickson was, however, conspicuously absent at the NEC meeting.
According to the state, the Sokoto State Governor was unanimously chosen by all the governors in attendance at the party’s 88th National Executive Council held at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Tambuwal pledged to run an inclusive administration and move the party forward.
