Terrorists are likely to attack in Rivers, Kaduna, Abia, Kano and 17 other states, the United Kingdom has told its citizens.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK urged citizens planning to visit Nigeria to stay away from the areas because of insecurity, adding that kidnapping for monetary or financial gains was also a possibility.

The states listed by the FCO include: Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Kogi, Sokoto, Niger, Kebbi, Plateau, Abia, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River.
The FCO urged citizens to avoid crowded places including worship places, malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, transport hubs, markets and camps for displaced people.
