Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to a video that surfaced online showing some soldiers shooting a chained man multiple times and burying him in a shallow grave.
A Twitter user, @BuwayKasco, posted the video on Twitter, asking the Nigerian Army if these were their soldiers.
The soldiers were about four in number.
It was not confirmed what must have happened, but one of the soldiers was heard in the video saying, “he even go tell them say na soldiers collect rifle for hin hand. Carry am, drop am inside,” then he was shot multiple times by two soldiers. The chained and dead man was then thrown inside the shallow grave.

Another soldier was heard saying “break hin leg, use the shovel to break hin leg”, as one of the soldiers was seen in the video hitting the dead man’s leg so as to fit into the shallow grave.

We can't blame the soldiers as deduced from their speech. Incessant attack on barracks by insurgents. Don't forget we now have some of those killers of our soldiers tagged repentant Boko Haram. Yoruba says, ojo a ba ri ibi ni ibi nwole.

When I think of all the officers that have died and how we are rehabilitating murderers and tagging them repentant, I just sip my coffee and move #ABUALI

Only God knows how many of these they've buried like this.

Even in war, killing an enemy and executing a prisoner are not the same. If this person was killed in fighting, it's justified. But having captured him, executing him is no longer the responsibility of his captors.

I can't say anything because I don't know what happened here really but like developed countries military operations should be covert and top secret, footage like this shouldn't even be leaked learn from your counterparts Nigerian government.
