Three Liverpool players, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk; Lionel Messi; and Cristiano Ronaldo, are among the 10 shortlisted players for the 2019 FIFA Best Player award.
The 10-man shortlist was unveiled by FIFA on Tuesday and published on their official website.
Other players who made the list are Dutch duo Frenkie De Jong, Matthijs de Ligt, Eden Hazard, France young forward Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane.
For the men’s best coach category, 2019 AFCON winning coach, Djamel Belmadi of Algeria, Jürgen Klopp, Didier Deschamps, Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Brazil’s Tite, all made the 10-man shortlist.
Also, the 10 nominees for the best women player and best women coach was announced.
The three finalists for each award will be revealed at a later date, with all award winners revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Milan on 23 September.
Fans are expected to vote for their personal top three. The fan vote will be equally weighted alongside the votes of journalists, national team coaches and captains
