Jelili Jimoh, a ticket fee collector, has slumped and died after slapping one Ezekiel Amosu, a commercial motorcycle rider, also known as Okada, in the Agbado area of Ogun State.

Amosu was said to have been taking a passenger from Beshi in Agbado to Dalemo, a neighbouring community, when Jimoh stopped him. The deceased had asked him to pay for the daily ticket usually issued to riders at the start of every business day.
Amosu’s offer of N100 was said to have infuriated Jimoh, who slapped him twice and detained his bike. However, the latter, according to reports, started shivering some minutes later and died on the spot.

City Round reports that eyewitnesses said the okada rider did not ouch Jimoh at all during the incident.
Yero Kuranga, the Divisional Police Officer, Agbado Division, led a team to the scene to douse the tension already brewing in the area.
He said the deceased’s wife confirmed that her husband had a health condition and usually had high temperature at night.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, adding that it was a case of sudden and unnatural death. He added that the okada rider cannot be arrested.
