Mavin Records first lady, Tiwa Savage has expressed displeasure over the position of her song ‘All Over’ on the MTV Base list of the hottest songs of the year in Nigeria.
Tiwa’s ‘All Over’ song was ranked 17 on the list, a position that didn’t go down well with her.
MTV Base Roundtable is a controversial and fiercely debated panel that selects 20 hot songs in the Nigerian music industry.
Tiwa, who challenged the judgment of the panelists, took to Instagram to counter the positions by showing the number of streams ‘All Over’ and ‘Malo’ gathered on Spotify, which amounts to over three million streams.
Though the panelists did not reveal the modalities for selecting songs, but Tiwa presented the figure of her Spotify streams of her two songs ‘All Over’ and ‘Malo’ songs.
This has since generated reactions from her fans who having been throwing jibes at MTV Base panelists for ranking the 17th.
