Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, has reportedly failed to report for training at the club, in a bid to force a transfer to Premier League champions, Manchester City.
According to reports, the England captain was supposed to be back at the club on August 2 (today) for a coronavirus test and a fitness assessment, following his three-week holiday due to the Three Lions’ campaign at Euro, 2020 but did not turn up amid potential exit rumour.
Kane was said to havde told the club management that he wants to leave, after growing frustrated at the club’s failure to win a major trophy since 2008.
Reports in England are claiming that the striker believes he has a “gentleman’s agreement” with Tottenham, which allows him to move this year.
However, with three years left on his contract, Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy, has no intention of selling the club’s prized asset, who is valued at around £150 million.
Manchester City and Pep Guardiola see Kane as a potentially replacement for Sergio Aguero, who left the club last season for Barcelona.
