Arsenal player Theo Walcott is reportedly close to signing a £20m transfer deal with West Ham, says Independent.co.uk. Another report says Walcott favoured West Ham over Chelsea and may finally seal the deal in the summer. The player is said to have become desperate in securing regular first-team football, due to his fall Arsenal’s pecking order. Walcott joined Arsenal 10 years ago in a £9.1m deal from Southampton, but a perception of failure against expectations heavily invested in him has continued to dog him in Arsenal. The 27-year-old has played 231 times for Arsenal, but slowed down by injuries.
