Transfer
English Premier League (EPL) giants, Manchester City, have rejected a £70 million offer for Bernardo Silva from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) – according to The Times.
PSG think Pep Guardiola has blocked the move because the Portuguese star is capable of helping them end their wait for a maiden UEFA Champions League (UCL) title.
Silva appears to be open to a transfer after rejecting a new contract at City which would have seen him pocket a salary on the same level as top earner Kevin De Bruyne.
Although Barcelona are long-term admirers of the former Monaco man, they could miss out on signing their top target.
The La Liga side are facing financial woes which means that a significant offer of this nature is a stretch.
Silva has been instrumental in City’s success over the past few seasons. The Portugal international made 35 appearances in his side’s title victory last season, scoring eight and assisting four.
