Manchester United football director John Murtough met with the agent of Slovenia and RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko last week to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
According to MEN, United are looking to add at least one attacking player, and after missing out on Brian Brobbery, they have identified the 19-year-old as a possible target.
Sesko is contracted at Leipzig until 2026.
In a piece of related news, Cristiano Ronaldo has rejected claims he is adamant he wants to leave Manchester United with a fiery post on social media.
A fan post discussing the Ronaldo saga on Instagram prompted a response from the Portugal international – marking the first time he has publicly addressed the rumours surrounding him.
The post read: “Jorge Mendes told Manchester United that Cristiano Ronaldo is adamant about leaving, but Mendes left negotiations less than positive that Ronaldo would get his move. Sir Alex Ferguson has intervened. United insist Ronaldo is not for sale.”
Ronaldo responded: “Impossible not to talk about me one day. Otherwise, the press makes no money. You know that if you don’t lie you can’t get people’s attention. Keep going that one day you got some news right.”
