Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign Real Madrid star, Casemiro after their unsuccessful attempt to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.
Newsbreak.ng understands that a move for the Brazil international is seen as a long shot, but Casemiro is still among the options drawn up by United manager, Erik ten Hag, as he attempts to overhaul his midfield.
United are understood to accept the fact that the five-time UEFA Champions League (UCL) winner is an ambitious target. And while it is not clear if his capture would convince them to abandon their summer-long hunt of Frenkie De Jong, he is undoubtedly a world class midfielder.
The Brazilian has won La Liga three times with Real Madrid while also lifting the UCL trophy five times. He has formed a fantastic tripartite with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the Madrid midfielder in the past couple of years.
If United are able to pull off the signing of Casemiro, it will be surprising considering their struggle in the transfer market this season.
