Everton on Thursday, completed the signing of Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi, from Arsenal for £35 million. Iwobi, 23, signed a five-year deal at Goodison Park after a deal was agreed between the clubs on Deadline Day.
Everton will pay £28 million up front, with £7 million of additional fees to follow.
During his time at Arsenal, Iwobi won the FA Cup (2017) and Community Shield (2015, 2017).
Earlier on Thursday, Arsenal completed the signing of David Luiz and Kieran Tierney from Chelsea and Celtic respectively.
Luiz joined Arsenal on a two-year deal for a fee of £8 million, while Tierney signed for Arsenal in a deal worth £25 million, which is a record fee for a Scottish player.
At the San Siro, Inter Milan got the services of Belgian top scorer; Romelu Lukaku on a five-year contract for a fee of around £73 million.
Lukaku arrived in Italy for his medical on Wednesday and has now sealed his move to the San Siro on a deal until June 30 2024.
Also in North London, Tottenham Hotspur completed deadline day deals to sign midfielder Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis and defender Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.
Argentina international Lo Celso joins on a season-long loan, with Spurs holding an option to sign the 23-year-old, and Sessegnon signed a five-year deal with Tottenham, who also hold the option to extend the 19-year-old’s deal for a further season.
And in other deals that took place on deadline day, Andy Carroll rejoined Newcastle on an initial 12-month contract, eight-and-a-half years after leaving St James’ Park; Manchester City signed goalkeeper Scott Carson on a season-long loan from Derby; and
Danny Drinkwater completed a move to Burnley on a loan deal from Chelsea until January 6.
