Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, has seemingly ruled out the European champions making a move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Ronaldo has been in the news in the current summer transfer window, with many reports claiming he is seeking an exit from Manchester United.
A number of clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, have been linked with the Portuguese superstar, but nothing concrete seems to be coming out of their interests.
With his options looking short, fans have speculated whether Ronaldo could return to his former club Real Madrid, a side where he is the top scorer in Madrid’s illustrious history, having bagged an incredible 450 goals in 438 games for the Spanish champions during a hugely successful nine-year spell at the Bernabeu.
But Perez, who signed Ronaldo in a £80m deal from United back in 2009, has all but ruled out a move for the Portugal skipper.
When asked by fans if he plans to make a bid for the forward, who still has one year left on his current deal at The Theatre of Dreams, Perez replied: “Sign Cristiano? Again? He’s 38 years old”, getting the age of the striker wrong.
