Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno State, have killed Amir Imar, the most wanted Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP), commander.

According to Deji Adesogan, a certified United Nations certified conflict expert, Imar was killed in a fierce encounter with troops at Marte Local Government Area last Sunday.
“Nigerian Army killed most wanted ISWAP Fighting Forces Commander, Amir Imar, in a fierce encounter with Troops in Marte LGA of Borno State on Sunday 14 June 2020.

“He coordinated recently attacks in Gubio, Monguno and Nganzai LGA’s with the newly recruited fighters.” Adesogan said on his Twitter account.
He noted that Imar coordinated recent attacks by the terrorist group in Gubio, Monguno and Nganzi LGAs of the state.
