Hadiza Bala Usman, suspended Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), on Thursday, made her first public appearance since the probe of the agency under her started.

Usman was suspended last week Friday over alleged non-remittance of N165 billion to the consolidated revenue fraud.
Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation, on Monday, set up a panel to probe all contracts that the NPA awarded under her watch.
However, she has since denied the allegation, saying all the revenue generated by the agency under her were remitted to the appropriate agency.

In a tweet on Thursday, the suspended NPA MD made a cryptic reference to her current travails, saying the truth will triumph.
She also pledged loyalty to Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna State governor, whom she described as her “forever boss”.
She posted a picture a picture of both of them together, disclosing that she accompanied El-Rufai to the palace of Emir of Zazzau.

Usman had served as Chief of Staff to El-Rufai before her appointment as NPA MD by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016.
