Nigerian Twittersphere has reacted to the insensitive comments made by Yomi Shogunle, the head of Police Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit.
They have been calling for the deactivation of the account of the senior police officer.
The call started off on Thursday after he tweeted; “186 million Retweets to #EndSARS. Oya let’s go!”
Many of his followers felt he was being insensitive to the plights of citizens who have suffered at the hands of operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad.
Among the reactions, was Nigerian singer, YCEE, who responded to Shogunle’s tweet, saying “You are a hot pile of trash I pray God blesses you with long life to see an effective Nigerian Police Force without the likes of officers like you sir.”

Shey if he doesn't have followers he won tweet rubbish? It's our disunity that makes these people in so called places of authority treat us the way they like!
I will readily unfollow him as soon as I go through the comments!— Deeeeeee💕💋 (@didabliz) July 26, 2018
