Two men, Ezekwu Ebere and Ifeanyi Nwanna, have been arraigned before an Ebute Metta Magistrates’ Court for alleged breach of peace.
The suspects are facing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and breach of peace.
The defendants, alongside their accomplices at large , were said to have threatened the life of their landlord, Emmanuel Ikeki.
According to police prosecutor, Jimoh Isiegede, the incident happened at about 2:00pm, on the September 21, 2017, at 17, Martins Street, Balogun Lagos Island, Lagos state.
‘’That on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, had gone to Emmanuel Ikeki’s office and started shouting, threatening him and committed an offence Contrary to the Section 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2013’’ one of the count charge reads.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, T. A Idowu, granted them bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties each in like sum.
She said the sureties must reside in Lagos state, and adjourned the case till November 8, 2017.
