Nigeria got their U-23 AFCON back on track as they came beat Zambia 3-1 in a comeback win in their second Group B game on Tuesday.
The game saw skipper Azubuike Okechukwu and Taiwo Awoniyi feature for Nigeria after missing the first game against Cote d’Ivoire due to club assignments.
Zambia opened scoring in the 12th minute through Patson Daka but just four minutes later, Orji Okonkwo equalised for Nigeria.
In the 65th minute, Kelechi Nwakali put Nigeria 2-1 ahead from a well taken freekick.
And in the 93rd minute Awoniyi sealed the win to earn Nigeria their first win of the competition.
They will now face leaders South Africa in their final group game on Friday.
