A man has jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.

The man reportedly boarded a Uber cab from Gbagada area of the state before asking the driver to stop on the bridge after complaining of stomach ache.

He was said to have jumped into the lagoon afterwards. The incident happened around 11am on Saturday.

Nosa Okunbor, spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), said rescue operation is ongoing.

He however said he is unsure if he would be rescued dead or alive.
