The Nigerian Police Force has disclosed that Uche Nwosu, son-in-law of the former governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha was arrested and not kidnaped.
This is coming amid reports that the 2019 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), was abducted by unknown gunmen.
Gathered reports revealed Nwosu was arrested at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama-Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State where he was worshipping with his family.
confirming the situation, Imo State Police Spokesperson, Michael Abattam, noted Nwosu is in police custody.
“Nwosu was arrested by the police, not kidnapped as insinuated in the social media,” he said.
Abattam added that Nwosu was arrested over a case that is being investigated.
