Abductors of Emmanuel Odetunde, a student of the University of Ibadan, have demanded a ransom of N100 million.
The Sociology student was abducted on Monday while he was on his father’s farm in Oke Odan, Apete, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The gunmen, said to be herders, who stormed the farm around 5pm, were said to have asked for his father and whisked away Odetunde when they were told his father was not around.

Samuel, the victim’s brother, told The Punch that the abductors reached out to them to demand the ransom. He added that the family would not be able to raise such amount.
Olugbenga Fadeyi, spokesman of the police in the state, said the police are working hard to rescue Odetunde from the kidnappers. He said a tactical team has been deployed for the rescue mission.
