The abductors who kidnapped six persons at the University of Abuja Staff Quarters on Tuesday have demanded N300 million for their release.

According to an individual with knowledge of the development, the kidnappers billed each family the sum of N50 million for each individual in their custody.

“They demanded N50 million naira for each person; they have contacted the family but that is all we know for now,” one source told Vanguard.

“They got in touch with the family; the parents of the abducted children were contacted. We learnt they are asking for N300 million for all of them,” a police officer confirmed.

Newsbreak had reported how gunmen suspected to be bandits invaded the University of Abuja in the middle of the night and abducted six persons.

This horrible event happened before another kidnap of a secondary school vice principal in Abuja on Wednesday.
