At least, seven people lost their lives as yet-to-be-identified gunmen attacked the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in Anambra State.

The incident occured late Sunday at Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka local government area.

Ubah of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) represents Anambra South.

According to a source, he was ambushed by the gunmen who opened fire on his convoy.

Three of his aides were killed while three security operatives also died during the ambush.
