Anthony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, has landed in Nigeria and met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The US top diplomat arrived in Nigeria on Thursday and arrived at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at about 3:47pm.
He was received at the forecourt by State Chief of Protocol, Lawal Kazaure, who led him to the President’s office.
On Blinken’s entourage is Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard, the US Ambassador to Nigeria.
After meeting with Buhari, the US Secretary of State will proceed to the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo where they will sign some agreements between Nigeria and the US.
He will, thereafter, address a joint press briefing at the State House Briefing Room with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
