“Patrons leaving the Accra Sports Stadium after waiting hours for Wizkid to perform,” TV3 wrote.

The Afrobeat superstar Wizkid, was scheduled to perform live in concert at Accra Stadium, marking his first performance in the city he refers to as his “second home.”

The concert was supposed to be Wizkid’s third in Ghana, after making his debut with the legendary Akon in 2018, it would have been his first as the main attraction and the debut of the new album in Africa, further supporting Ghana’s attempts to become the top travel and hospitality destination.

The development comes a few months after Kizz Daniel was arrested for refusing to perform at a show which he was paid for in Kenya.

This development will further dent the image of Nigerian singers in the continent.
