Video: Funke Akindele Apologises For Throwing Birthday Party Despite Lockdown Order

Funke Akindele-Bello, actress and producer, has apologized to Nigerians, over the birthday party she organised for her husband’s this weekend.

Most Nigerians on social media said they felt misled because she organised a gathering, after preaching social distancing in an advisory video for dettol.

In a video she posted on her personal Instagram handle on Sunday, the producer of popular television show, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, said she did not intend to mislead, arguing that people who attended the event live in her estate, and no outsider was invited.

The 42-year-old explained the rationale behind organizing the birthday party.
