Unknown gunmen, on Saturday, set ablaze the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma’s house in his hometown in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state.
The house was reportedly set on fire by the invaders who wore black and black attire.
In a video of the incident shared online, sympathizers and villagers are seen outside the building with fire burning structures and vehicles in the premises.
A lifeless body is also seen lying in front of the governor’s house.
The South-east has been experiencing series of attacks by unknown gunmen, especially on police stations across the region.
In the bid to curb the rising insecurity, governors in the region recently announced the formation of a security outfit codenamed Ebube Agu, which is yet to commence operations.
