Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba rights advocate, has stormed Igangan, Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State, to evict Fulanis in the area.
He had given the group a seven-day ultimatum, which expired on Friday, to vacate the area.
His move comes after Governor Seyi Makinde of the state warned against threats to any ethnic group residing in the state, saying Nigerians can reside in any part of the country they so desire.
However, Sunday Igboho, who has branded the Fulanis in the area kidnappers, rapists and robbers, said the land belongs to Ibarapa people and no Fulani will be allowed to live there henceforth.
Speaking in Yoruba, Sunday Igboho, who appeared to be wearing his battle outfit underneath his suit, was cheered by the people with drums and battle chants.
He promised his supporters that his operation will spread to other South West states until Fulanis are completely evicted.
