Grammy award-winning singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed that Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, a fellow singer, popularly known as Wande Coal, provided his room for him to sleep when he had nowhere to go to.
Wizkid revealed this during a recent show while on stage. He showed his appreciation to Wande Coal for accommodating him and also helping his career in the days of his little beginnings.
The “Essence” crooner displayed emotions as he thanked Wande Coal for believing in him when he was making his first singles: “Holla at your Boy”, “Don’t dull” and “Tease me”.
Wizkid called Wande Coal a very special human being as he welcomed him on stage and thanked him for being a big part of his life.
He said: “I remember when I was making my first single, Holla at your Boy, Tease me, Don’t dull, Wande Coal was always there for me mehn.”
“He let me sleep in his room when I had nowhere to go. I just want to say a big thank you to that guy, that’s a very special human being.”
