The Federal Government’s N-Power scheme has told job seekers not to fall victims to fraudsters, Newsbreak reports.
According to N-Power, it will never ask people to pay money before enlisting into its programme.
Established in 2016, the N-Power scheme is designed for unemployed graduates who get engaged by the government to receive N30, 000 monthly.
The scheme was established by the Muhammadu Buhari administration on June 8, 2016, to address the issues of youth unemployment and help increase social development.
In March 2021, Sadiya Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development, inaugurated the National Social Investment Management Systems (NASIMS) portal for Batch C applicants. The first stream of the N-Power Batch C programme has over 500, 000 beneficiaries.
The second batch of another 500,000 will subsequently be made in line with President Buhari’s directive to engage 1,000,000 beneficiaries under Batch C.
“Nasimsng/ Npower can never ask beneficiaries for any monetary payment; either for examination (Test), enlistment in any of the Programs and or resolution of issues. Be careful!” N-Power said recently via its official Facebook page.
