The United States Embassy in Nigeria has described report that it denied David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, visa, is false.

Thisday newspaper had reported that the Embassy denied Oyedepo Visa, over which it said the pastor caused a scene at the place.

However, the Embassy in Nigeria, on its verified Facebook page, on Friday, said the report published by the newspaper was fake news, as it never happened.

“#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false.

“If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this #misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false,” it said.

Also, Professor Sheriff Folarin, Chairman, Editorial and Media Board of the church, denied that Oyedepo was denied visa.

According to him, the clergyman was at no time denied entry visa into the US.

He explained that the preacher still has a valid US visa on his passport, and would not have applied for another one on Thursday.
