The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it will make Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State ‘the number one internal enemy of Igbo people’, Newsbreak.ng reports.
This is as proponents of the outlawed group in their usual propaganda claimed Catriona Laing, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, visited Soludo in Anambra State on how to combat the outlawed group and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN). They also alleged that Laing is on a mission to stop Biafra.
This newspaper recalls that Soludo had a round-table engagement with leaders of foreign Missions and Country Representatives of key International Development and Financial Agencies on the 24th of March in Abuja. Laing was in the meeting. The picture from the meeting is what IPOB members are circulating online to falsely claim that Laing visited Soludo in Anambra State over IPOB.
Now, diaspora-based IPOB’s Directorate of States (DOS) claims Soludo is adopting the policy of maintaining control over Anambra residents by encouraging dissent between them, thereby preventing them from uniting in opposition. IPOB is a pro-Biafra group canvassing for the sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria.
“Governor Chukwuma Soludo after meeting with the British High Commissioner to the Zoo @CatrionaLaing1 wants to introduce British Divide and Rule in Biafraland. If you toe this part we shall make you the number one internal enemy of Biafrans,” a statement on IPOB DOS’ official Twitter handle reads on Saturday.
