Kehinde Bamigbetan, former Commissioner for Information & Strategy in Lagos State under the administration of ex governor Akinwunmi Ambode has come out to say that National Leader of All progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is hale and healthy than what Nigerians thought they know about his health.

The former Governor of Lagos State returned to the country few days ago after weeks of recuperating in London after he had a knee surgery. While in London, several rumours milled around concerning the state of his health, while some Nigerians, including President Muhammadu Buhari paid him visits.

Bamigbetan, one time Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government Development Area (LCDA) took to his official Facebook page on Sunday to describe how he saw Tinubu when he joined some people to pay him a visit at his resident at Bourdillon in Ikoyi, Lagos on Saturday.

Bamigbetan, an accomplished journalist wrote: “Seeing is believing. I spent about 6 hours at the residence of my political mentor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu yesterday. I went to see for myself his fitness, his speech and his usual way of engaging his people.

“I needed it. So much has been said, written and drawn in the last couple of months that cast doubt in the mind. It was a good opportunity to clear the doubts.

“Apparently anticipating the large crowd of supporters drumming and singing since morning, a spacious reception compliant with Covid-19 was arranged. He walked into the reception with the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. His stride was sprightly, his gait, natural. The knee cap surgery has improved his movement.

“As soon as he sat and saw me, he asked: “How are you? How is your family?” I replied that we are fine noticing the sharpness of his voice.

“When it was time to address everyone, his words were measured. He thanked God. And appreciated well-wishers for the prayers and goodwill..

“The rest has also being marvellous on his visage as he was more relaxed and has gained a little weight.

“Here is the Jagaba, up close. And personal.”
