What Toyin Abraham Said After Maryam Sanda’s Death Sentence

Toyin Abraham, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has advised women to leave toxic relationships before it becomes too late.

She said this in the aftermath of Maryam Sanda’s sentence in an Abuja high court on Monday. She had been sentenced to death by hanging for killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello, for allegedly cheating on her in 2017.

Reacting to the sentence, Abraham, who said the news saddened her, urged women to ignore mockers and leave their toxic relationships.

Posting a video of Maryam and Bilyaminu looking happy on their wedding day, captioning it: “They were happy…Pls leave if it’s not working…They will mock you but please just leave…God….I’m heartbroken….I’m so down…….Don’t care about what people will say cos people will always talk……GOD please for the baby.”
