Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has said that the Muhammadu Buhari administration would not be able to “use” the Army and the police in the 2023 election because Nigerians will vote for political parties on the basis of their performance.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Governor Wike cautioned members of Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who want to be moles and work against the party because they were not given the ticket that they sought.
The PDP chieftain was speaking on Thursday during the Rivers State PDP stakeholders meeting at Government House, Port Harcourt.
He urged party members to be steadfast because God is on their side, and considering they have not known defeat, PDP cannot be defeated in the 2023 general election in Rivers State.
Since coming into office in May 2019, Wike has been one of the greatest critics of the Buhari government. Today, he is considered an important member of the PDP.
