Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Monday said the presidential ambition of Peter Obi is a “failed” one.
Newsbreak reports that according to Ekpa, there is nothing special about the ambition of the Labour Party presidential candidate.
The Finland-based separatist said Obi’s hope of becoming Nigeria’s next president is a bad signal for the struggle to actualise a sovereign nation of Biafra.
“The reason we are talking about Peter Obi is not because there is anything special about his failed ambition but because his ambition is putting Biafrans in the election as if we are interested in Nig just to make Ndigbo be part of the election in paper, physically is not possible,” Ekpa wrote.
Meanwhile, Obi has asked Nigerians to “take back” their country.
He said this on Sunday at the ‘Men of Valour’ conference, organised by the Revival House of International Church (RHOGIC), Abuja.
Obi, who described Nigeria’s political space as an “asylum”, said Nigerians cannot allow the current status quo to continue.
