A woman, Tope Akinside, was on Friday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates Court in Lagos for allegedly beating her neighbour, Aduneke Okeowo, and bathing her with faeces. The accused was aid to have committed the offence on 29 February at their 14, Unity Street, Oke-Odo,Lagos residence. She was arraigned on a two count charge of breach of peace and assault.
The offences contravened Sections 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, which attracts three years jail term on conviction. Akinside pleaded innocence of the offences and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. The Magistrate, A.A Adesanya, adjourned the case till 11 April for mention.
