Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has warned the Nigerian Army against attacking Biafra agitators in the South-east.

Igboho, who spoke through his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, said Yoruba nation will support Igbos in repelling further attacks on residents of the South-east by the army.
He said any attack on people of the South-east is an attack on the Yoruba nation.
He charged the Federal Government to stop security agencies from raiding the region.
“We would like to inform the Federal Government of Nigeria that any attack on the South-East is an attack on the Yorubas.

“Biafra people have been targeted by the Nigeria Army and if there are any further attacks on them, we would have no other option but to support our brothers and sisters in Biafraland,” he said.
The army and other security agencies have been cracking down on members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), which is the military arm of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) on Tuesday, launched a special operation designed to restore peace to the South-East, following waves of attacks on police facilities and other security formations.
