Veteran singer, John Odafe Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has blasted his colleague, Ọlawale Ibrahim Ashimi, aka Brymo, for making his allegations against singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Face, public.
Daddy Showkey made his position known in an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze, on Thursday.
Reacting to the development, Daddy Showkey said Brymo should have contacted people close to the “Africa Queen” crooner and inform them of his allegation rather than make it public.
According to the “Fire Fire” singer, 2Face is already facing a lot due to his lingering marital crisis with his wife Annie Idibia, adding that those advising Brymo to publicise the alleged issue do not want peace in the former’s family.
“The case of Brymo and 2face, I have been watching it and I’ve been laughing and laughing… first of all, 2face and his wife were going through a lot.
“This is not the time for that type of issue unless if you (Brymo) have anything against 2face or 2face accused you of this and you have proof. You (Brymo) have people to call, at least you know people.
“This is somebody’s wife and they are going through a lot with families, crisis going on so unless they don’t want peace to be in the boy’s (2Baba’s) family.
“Anybody that is supporting what is going on does not want peace to be in 2face’s family. Some people want to take issues and get popular but you don’t play with people’s lives.
“For Brymo, if you have anything on your mind that guy accused you of what you didn’t do, you should have gone to report him to people close to him to address it,” Daddy Showkey said.
2Face has threatened to institute a N1 billion suit against the “Ara” singer if he does not retract his claims, apologise to him and his wife (2Face and wife) and make the apology public on various social media platforms.
