Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, on Wednesday criticised Senate President Ahmad Lawan for ‘turning the National Assembly into a rubber stamp’ congress.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Yesufu was reacting to Lawan’s criticism of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their ‘maladministration’ for 16 years.
Recall that speaking at his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) Presidential Campaign rally in Damaturu, Yobe State, on Tuesday, Lawan said the PDP allowed the Boko Haram insurgency to fester.
But reacting via a tweet Quote Tweet, the outspoken Yesufu said neither the APC nor the PDP should be allowed into the corridors of power again.
“The Senate President who turned the National Assembly into a rubber stamp Assembly is accusing PDP when his own party has had over 7 years to tackle the insurgency and have worsened it.
“Both APC and PDP are failed parties that should not be allowed into the corridors of power,” she wrote.
